Question about birth control? Advice needed?

Im getting on birth control for the first time. I plan on start off on the pill, but im not sure wat would be best to use. my main reason for gettin on bc is to prevent against pregnancy. but i also want something that will help regulate my periods, coming the same time every month. i want sumthin with as few side effects as possible. do u know any brands that will suit my needs?
